Is Google trying to mandate use of Adsense on Blogs?

Lots of people are complaining how their Blogger.com blogs are being shut down and one often cited reason is for spam. But, Google doesn't seem to mind if you have no affiliate ads and only use their Adsense to monetize and that's not considered spammy, regardless of how little money you are earning. And, considering how Google owns Blogger, it makes sense if not a little biased to require or expect bloggers to use one specific ad network.

Google is basically trying to monopolize the industry. They are very biased to people using their products & services and in so many ways try to force it on you. Not good, but if you want to deal with them a lot of times you have to jump through their hoops.

Blogger doesn't want a bunch of affiliate spam blogs on their site. And, they have every right to dictate that. You are not required to have Adsense on your blogger blog, but if you choose to monetize, this will be one of your only options.

An overtly spammy blog will always get locked or deleted if you post it on Blogger.com. They are only doing that to keep the site cleaned up.

I owned a blogspot blog briefly. When I had blogspot blog, I used adsense only (the account that I had acquired from third party website). I did not use affiliate ads. Therefore, I did not encounter any problems. My blog even did not have unique contents. I had republished my articles published on various news sites. Your blogspot blog could deleted if you violate google terms.
