Is It Best To Promote Someone Else's services Rather Than A Category?

I was thinking, would it be better to promote someone else's gig on PPC websites rather than a category page? I know its seems a bit daft when i could just promote one of my own gigs, but if i targeted search engine optimisation, etc.. on facebook, google adwords promoting a link building service, im sure this would work well. I think?

Sean, I received your inbox message and thought that I would respond here for everyone to see. I utilize Web 2.0 and the Seocheckout RSS feed to get the entirety of my new affiliates and affiliate sales. I have several Web 2.0 properties that are highly ranked SEO keywords and simply have the RSS feed displayed on each of them. No real secret, unfortunately.

I've found better results promoting a category and using the term "From $3" or "starting at $3" using PPC.

However, if you do promote a specific service you should select one that has many up votes. This really does help conversion for people that have never used this site before. If you can arrange a coupon from the seller to give out as well, this will certainly get buys.

One more thing, soon we plan on releasing the "Buy one Get one" and "deals/sales" features which would help with PPC as the buyers will feel compelled to order because of the urgency or order more because they will get one free. Is It Best To Promote Someone Else

Yeah, thats what i have been doing, promoting the categories, i will add the "Low as $3", etc.. in the descriptions to help them. I will try sort something like that out with a seller to give away coupens for their gigs as well as my own. Thanks Is It Best To Promote Someone Else

New updates sound. Theirs been a few recently Is It Best To Promote Someone Else The "Buy one get one free" will be great.
I was thinkin the other day though, that the forum should be brought into things a bit more. The FAQ gets used alot, which is good, but it would also be better if the forum activity could be increased also. Maybe a few little things would get people posting on it bit more, such as, on the Seocheckout profile (Not forum profile) could have the number of forum posts too along with the number of questions & answers. Also, do a requirement for forum posts on the user level the same as the questions & answers requirement.

Yes, the blogger blog would be a Web 2.0 property. If it is SEO related, then you can put the rss feed from Seocheckout in the sidebar and probably get some clicks, as long as there is a decent amount of traffic.

No, it isnt blog related, it is a blog about my drawings. http://www.sq-drawings.com/
Why do you use your RSS feed though, instead of just putting a the normal affiliate link?
Is the RSS feed better in some way?

I put the RSS feed because it brings up new gigs all of the time, which is fresh content for the sidebar. If it was static, my visitors might end up just ignoring it, since it is always the same.

Thanks for the suggestions. We will likely add the one for the forum posts while we are currently redoing the user profile area.

How are you linking to categories? You can link such as this:

Page 3:

I put the RSS feed since it brings upwards brand new gigs the time, that is fresh content for the sidebar. If in case or when it ended up being actually static, my visitors might end up simply missing it, because it is obviously the precise exact same.
