Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
Reading inspires me to write. When I read, my head is filled with new information and ideas and eventually those things will come out in the form of a new article. Even, if I am not reading as part of research, but for my own personal pleasure, the ideas still take hold.
I rarely read fiction, so maybe that's why I don't bother writing fiction. But, I'm constantly reading nonfiction such as blogs to help me solve daily problems (such as home repair, blogging tips, SEO, webmaster, etc).
My best technique for being a better writer is to read a lot and all the time, even when not writing. It really pays off.
