Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
The longest part of writing for me is not the research or writing but the polishing or editing phase. I love this aspect of writing, maybe more than the writing part itself as it gives me a chance to edit and revise or refine my work until it shines.
I read and reread my article and check it for clarity, ease of understanding and fluidity. This is more easily done if you read the article out loud.
I spend so much time refining the article, but for me, it's time worth spent as it produces the results I want.
How much time do you spent editing/polishing or refining your article to make it sound just right?

This will depend on how much someone is paying me to write. So for instance, if I get $75 for that article, I will put more time into editing and revisions than if they are only paying $15. It just makes sense I would not want to spend more than an hour on writing/editing and revisions if I'm only getting ten dollars.

I am also a freelance writer and I have my own method of writing first when I write an article I leave it and later I check it and again see it's really working or not in sense if it's useful or not. I believe as long as the content is unique and useful it's the best article.

Giving the article some breathing room is always a good idea as it gives you the chance to work on other projects and gain fresh perspective, so that when you return you will be more objective.

Once my writing is complete, I'm very much like you, as I read it over and over, picking it apart piece by piece. After that phase is finally over (I say finally in the sense of relief because it is obsessing...lol) I pass over the keys to @Asmodeus to read it over. I find a fresh pair of eyes does me wonders, as he gives me the final ok on my writing...lol Because for me, I'm my own worst critic...lol I'm quite obsessive compulsive during the writing phase and the editing phase. It can literally take me a few hours to write an article as I read each paragraph as I write it to make sure it flows right. Then I sit back and think of different words to use, and how many ways I can change a description around so it goes right into the next part without even realizing it.
