You could also sell some of your used business equipment on eBay to others. No need to let your equipment sit idle when someone else is willing to pay for it.

That's a smart idea. I'm always reading where people are talking about how they are starting with literally nothing though. Hopefully they could use a service like this to get donations to buy professional equipment to start a business. Sometimes they might have the skills but not means to do business.

You could purchase office equipment or computers from government auctions as they will always be cheaper. And, eBay has very cheap office computers that you could use to start your own freelance business.

If I needed money to fund my freelance business, I would just ask for a loan from my dad or someone that I know as the terms would be a lot better than anything I could get from a bank and more likely to get the money that way anyway. I am not in need of a loan though, so I'm lucky that way.

If you are a great influencer, you can start a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for your business. Your friends and family will certainly be willing to help you.
You can also apply for loan. For our freelancer business it will be quite difficult to get a loan, but you can try online loan.
You can also directly as for financial help with your family or friends.
