The 10 Keys to Success for New Sellers

Hey Clerks Nation, today, i decided to share with you a few things that will help you succeed as a seller on seocheckout. Some of you may already know this, but i am sure there are beginners that will find use of this thread.

1. Registration on seocheckout

• Before you register on seocheckout, make sure you carefully read the Terms Of Service
  
• Pick a creative and professional Username, that will be easy to remember, not just for you, but also for others. Never add random stuff like random numbers and try to make it as short as possible.
  
• Example, if your name is Roberto, try "Roberto". If it's taken then try "Robert" or "Robbie" or "Rob". Never add random numbers like Robert325325123 because your clients won't remember you, even if they remember you, they will have to search for you.... Or you can use an username related to the services you offer, example if you are a graphic designer, you can pick "graphicmonkey" or something.
  
• After you sign up, make sure you fill all the information, add a profile picture, add your skills etc.
  
• Make accounts on Social Networks where you will promote your services, a Facebook Fan Page, Twitter Profile, Pinterest profile, YouTube channel, Google+ Profile
  

2. Create services

• Make sure you use a unique title and never copy from other sellers - you should be unique and different in order to succeed. Explain what you offer in the description in details, you can also use Bold/Italic text and different colors, but make sure you pick the right colors. I recommend using Bold/Italic text and Green and Red Color for important parts of your description.
  
• If you have enough time, make a video about your service. People love videos and they increase the chances by 110% to get a sale.
  
• Select the right Category and tags, this is really important. Do not add a bunch of tags that are not related to your service. I recommend to add 6-12 tags, this depends on your service.
  
• Always use an Image related to the service you offer. It should describe what you are selling. You should never use images from other sellers or images that you don't own, because later, you may have your service taken down just because of that. If you have experience in Graphic Design, i highly recommend to create an infographic for your service. You can do this with paid software like Photoshop or with free software like Gimp - there is really no big difference if you are a beginner.
  
• Never copy the description from other services or other websites, because that's simply wrong and it may bring trouble to you and to the whole marketplace. Also it's not cool to use other's work for yourself, how would you feel if someone starts using your work for their own services... it's immoral.
  
• Don't forget to add Extras to your service, they really help to increase your revenues.
  

3. Offer more than one service

• Always offer more services, don't stick to just one service, because you will fail. I recommend you to add 10-20 services and see if you get a sale, if you don't get a sale for a few months then delete the service and add a new one
  
• Never add the same service twice, it looks really stupid and unprofessional, i would never buy from people who do this
  

4. Bump your services every 24 hours

• When you BUMP your service, it will show up on the top of Seocheckout and it when someone searches for what you offer, it will be displayed in the first results. This really helps you ROCKET your sales, especially if you have gathered enough feedback and you BUMP your service, there is no chance that you miss a sale
  

5. Deliver your orders as advertised and on time

• Always deliver your orders on time, you should be never late with your delivery, because you will lose a lot of clients if you are always late and also there are a lot of people that outsource and resell your services outside of seocheckout, there is no point if you deliver a few days after the deadline when your client doesn't need that thing anymore.
  
• If you deliver your orders on time, that will increase the chances to get a positive feedback, but if you are late with the delivery, you can even get a negative feedback.
  
• You should refund buyers if they are not happy because you delivered late or if you delivered but not as advertised. They deserve a refund, however, do this only if they ask for it.
  

6. How to get positive feedbacks?

• You should kindly ask your buyer to leave you a positive feedback if he's happy with the work you did
  
• Over-Deliver sometimes, but make sure it's not a lot ...
  
• Offer a longer warranty or more revisions if they leave a positive feedback T
  
• Never bother your clients why they did not rate your order if you did all i have said above. Some people prefer to stay anonymous, while others don't leave a review if they are not happy. When i am not happy with the delivery, i can leave a negative feedback, but i don't want to be that bad, so i just skip the rating... but if they start bothering me, then they get a negative feedback, that's a fact.
  

7. Over-deliver and offer revisions

• If you can, over-deliver a bit and offer more revisions for the project
  

8. How to treat your clients?

• You should always be kind to your clients, even if they are "too cold" or in a bad mood. Whatever they say, try to remain calm and positive. They can't see you. If they say something wrong or offensive, try to ignore it.
  
• Never call your clients like this "buddy, bro, man, yo" etc., because it's really unprofessional. Imagine how would your client feel if it's a woman and you say "Hey bro ..." or "yo man". It's really weird when some people do this. You should be more professional.
  

9. When and how to contact support

• Contact support only if there is no other solution for your problem. Always try to solve any issues before you contact support. If you think that it's a really big issue that you can't solve, example if you lost access to your account or you don't recognize your activity.
  
• Never contact support for no reason, or for requesting a "LEVEL UP" or free order.
  
• You should be always nice to support. Sometimes they may sound rude to you, but if you think twice, you will figure out that they are also human beings and sometimes they can make a mistake, but you don't have to explode and stay rude stuff to them if that happens.
  
• Even if they are not right about something, which is rare, but can occur sometimes, try to prove it kindly and nicely. You shouldn't say that they "suck" at what they do, because they don't.
  

10. What to do when you get a negative feedback and how to remove it?

• If you get a negative feedback, don't panic
  
• You should never start offending your clients if they leave you a positive feedback
  
• Apologize because they were not happy with your delivery. Even if you did everything as stated, there will always be people that won't be happy with what your work.
  
• Offer them a revision or extra work in exchange for removal of the negative feedback
  
• If they don't want any revision or extra work offer them a REFUND
  
• In 90% of the cases if you do like this you will have the negative feedback removed. If it's not removed after all of this, there are only two reasons for that. Either you suck at what you do or you got hit by a competitor.
  
• If you think that a competitor did this to you, contact support to investigate the case
  

And a little motivation, i know it's not much when compared with some other sellers, but trust me this is a lot for second and third world countries where average salary is below $600 a month... :cool:
