Hello,
If I have a website, and I entered "dentist Dillingham" (Dillingham is a town in Alaska)
and I noticed that my website is on the first page, but is not on rank #1
My question is: Which is better? To buy service that increase traffic? Or to buy service that said to put you up on rank #1 by doing backlinks (what ever the heck that is)
P.S. I'm not trying to buy any service, so please don't inbox me. This is purely educational.

If there is authority sites on the top, you can not beat them, its pretty simple.
If there is no authority site, then check those top ranking sites link profile.
Collect those links using ahrefs or moz and build backlinks on them.
Ranking depends on 100's of factors ... like keywords competition, on page optimization, website content etc .
1 .You need quality and unique content
2. You need proper on page optimization
3. You need backlinks and social media promotion
Only link building is not responsible to rank better, you have to keep that in mind . [B]You have to do competition analysis.
