    Affiliate links are not appropriate and should be removed as spam by the moderators. The moderator should also warn the person posting affiliate links not to do so.

    There was a time when I was still into affiliate marketing when I would post my affiliate links to forums and blogsites and it would always be taken down after a day or two. Even if it's on relevant discussions or in comments but it would still be deleted. So I just lost interest and besides the income being generated by affiliate links is so low that it's not worth it.
