It's true, M$ are releasing a new Xbox One. The Xbox One S (Slim). And apart from it being 40% slimmer it's also packed with more features and is 4K compatible. Well it can play 4K Blu-ray movies and do 4K upscaling for HD games anyway which is sort of the same. Plus did I mention that it's 40% slimmer. However there will be another Xbox One one released after it too the Xbox One Scorpio with a more powerful and faster GPU and will be capable of supporting 4K resolution gaming as well as VR augmented reality for people with a VR headset. But I don't know about that.

Apparently though, this has upset a lot of gamers who say they were expecting the games to get better not the hardware for a few years or so yet and that releasing one console after another so shortly is putting a lot of people off and likely to buy the Sony PS4 code-named Neo which will be 4K compatible and have an upgrade GPU.
What about you? Do you like the look of the new Xbox One Slim? Or would you prefer to wait until the Xbox One Scorpio is out and get that instead? Or are you a Sony fan and going to wait out until the new Sony PS4 Neo console is released?

I've played xbox but I've never been a huge fan of their controller. I know that the new controller is going to be a bit smaller, but they took too long to please me and sony won me over years ago I still have to get use to the ps4 controller because it's a little different than the playstation, playstation 2 and playstation 3 controllers that I'm so use to.
As for the smaller xbox, I think it's actually a pretty good idea. I have a ton of stuff on my small entertainment system and I wish I could get more on there, but 99% of the space is taken up it feels like. Making electronics smaller and keeping them at the same, or better, performance capabilities as the previous version is a great way to win people over. The only downside to this, like you said, is that they are launching a new system and not pushing out better games. I do get it that microsoft isn't the only company releasing games for the consoles, but it would be nicer to play games that don't feel finished and would offer more than 1 day of gameplay before beating everything Both PS3/PS4 and Xbox/Xbox1 have these types of games out there and then they release DLCs roughly every 5 to 8 months after launch in order to bring people in and pay a $30 price tag to keep playing. Pay to play maybe?
In the end, I've always been a fan of the sony playstation consoles so I'll stick with them I personally would get the PS4 or Neo because I've always played a playstation/sony :D I've played xbox but I've never been a huge fan of their controller.
