Communicating with staff is very important because that is where team work comes into play. As a freelancer and webmaster, I have staff members from all around the world and it is important to maintain good communication and make sure we all know what is going on.
For my forum staff members, we have multiple Skype chats. We have one which is for generally chat, one for moderation and one for Admins. Skype is the main platform for our real time chat. Of course, we also have staff forums where we discuss about particular issues. The staff forums is useful for documenting important staff information, while the Skype chat is good for coming up with conclusions for issues quickly.
What methods do you use to communicate with your staff?

hitmeasap Communication is definitely the key to have a good functional team and to be able to delegate work with ease. I do talk to my personnel on Skype, but mainly through emails as I keep things very separate. One member for one thing and one for another task. Two for that project and one for a total different thing so to speak. So there's literally no reason for them to know each other, as I am the one who gives them their assignments. With that being said, most of them are aware of each other and they do know that they're not alone working for me. Best Regards, hitmeasap
